no posts for a week then 2 in the space of 10 minutes!

Anyway thoughts/advice required please.  I do not have a Christmas tree. 

I left my Crimbo things with ex at the house.  I used to go over the top with decorations both inside and out.  Anyway, as I'm not here for Christas itself, I don't really see the point in buying a tree just to keep the cat company.  Am I being mean?  Should I really make an effort?  Almost everyone I speak to thinks I'm being 'bah humbug' but I don't see why I should conform just for everyone else.  Views please??
